The Louisville JV football team turned in a great performance against West Branch on Saturday. Many of our fine young men were pumped up about getting their first chance under the Friday night lights (the previous night). The enthusiasm spilled over into Sat morning when the ball hawking “D” held WB scoreless.
It all started up front with a dominating performance from
the front five. Zach Whaley led the way with 16 total tackles including a sack.
Cole Lautzenheiser (1 sack) also had a great game up front. Christian Duckworth
recorded a sack and did a fine job at defensive end keeping the QB from rolling
out. These guys would not have had the game they did if not for the total team
effort turned in by everyone.

The second quarter brought much of the same. The “O” ate up the clock and continually won the battle of field position. Late in the 2nd quarter Crank found Cody McElroy in the corner of the end zone for our second score. The score at half time was 12-0 L’ville.
The 3rd quarter was a see-saw battle with no
points being scored. McElroy came into QB in the fourth quarter while Crank
moved to receiver. After a steady dose of running plays McElroy hit Crank on a
quick slant route and Jon took it to the house with a great run after the
catch. This TD would end the scoring. The final score was
